GREENGUARD Gold Certifications mean that our mattress are scientifically lab-tested in environmental chambers for prolonged exposure. A GREENGUARD Gold Certification is only granted if the mattress meets the rigorous emissions standards for chemical exposure and other pollutants, such formaldehyde, phthalates, and other volatile organic compounds (VOC's), very few mattresses qualify for the Gold Standard.
