Can I Use My Existing Box Spring or Foundation?

Can I place my mattress on the floor, a bed frame, platform bed, bed slats, boxspring, foundation, or adjustable bed?

A Platform Bed, Bed Slats, Foundation or Adjustable Bed are best for your mattress. Our mattresses are designed to work on a rigid, non-spring foundation, platform, adjustable bed base or slatted foundation with a maximum spacing of five inches between slats.

Since a box spring has internal springs, for most mattresses, a box spring can cause additional bounce and motion transfer. However, foundations do not have internal springs, making them ideal for beds and frames that require a base layer under the mattress.

Shop our Foundation.

Please note: We do not recommend our mattresses be placed directly on the floor because this can cause the mattress to not breathe properly which can cause moisture build-up.
